Emergency Dental Services We Provide

Pain Relief

Tooth pain is one of the most unbearable feelings. Severe or sudden tooth pain can often indicate decay or infection. We will dignose the problem and treat the cause, not just the pain symptom.

Knocked-Out Tooth (Avulsed Tooth)

It the patient is seen quickly after the tooth is knocked out, we can sometimes replant an avulsed permanent tooth. (Ideally within an hour of the accident)n 30–60 minutes), an avulsed permanent tooth can sometimes be saved and replanted.

Broken, Cracked or Chipped Teeth

Depending on the severity of the break, we can either extract the damaged tooth or restore it.

Filling or Crown Fell Out

We can either recement the crown, temporize the tooth, or replace a missing restoration. It is important to address a missing crown or filling as soon as possible to avoid further decay or damage.

Swelling & Abscess

Swelling or an abscess is a sign of an infection and infections should be dealt with as soon as possible. We can relieve, drain and manage infections before they can spread to nearby tissue. Sometimes a prescription for an antibiotic can be helpful to manage infection and pain

Trauma and Bleeding

Accidents in sports or falls can cause lacerations or injuries to the lips, cheeks, tongue, and gum tissue. We can help to manage these injuries.

What to do in a Dental Emergency

  • Toothache:

Rinse gently with warm salt water, take pain relief as advised, and avoid chewing on the sore side.
  • Knocked-Out Tooth:

Pick it up by the crown, rinse gently, and try to keep it moist in milk or saliva. (This is only for permanant teeth that are not broken)
  • Broken Tooth:

Cover sharp edges with sugar-free gum or dental wax, which can be purchased at most pharmacies.
  • Swelling or Abscess:

Apply a cold pack and contact our office immediately.

Do NOT place pain medication directly on the gums—it can damage soft tissue.
